- Pockets Difficult to Access – When the bag is completely full, it can be quite difficult to access some of the pockets. One of the pockets I find especially difficult to access is the one right behind the luggage pass-through strap because the strap is completely in the way.
- Material Scratches Easily – If you don’t mind a rugged look then this won’t bother you at all, but as you progressively travel with this bag, the material scratches fairly easily which for a $200 bag – $300 if you include the accessories, can be quite worrisome.
- Laptop Compartment is Small – Although this laptop compartment holds my 15-inch macbook pro, it is quite tight and difficult to fit, especially with my iPad Air. This can be difficult to get in and out of my bag when going through airport security while abroad. While in the States, it’s not so bad since I have global entry with TSA precheck.

This bag is the perfect camera bag for photography enthusiasts and honestly one of my favorite bags in my product line. It is one of the best backpacks for travel and photography, but also as an everyday carry bag. It holds everything I need, I do with that the laptop compartment was a little bit bigger for my 15 inch MacBook pro, so I can also have more space for my iPad Air as well. I love how protected this bag is, I love the style, I would trust wearing this backpack in the rain and it makes me fit in quite well living in Europe. Germans truly love these roll-top backpack styles.
However, the price does deter me a bit from actually wanting to get it again – especially the essential camera cube accessories as I have other camera backpacks that do include these. I think my budget for a quality bag would be more in the $200 range. If money isn’t an issue, then this bag is perfect for you.
Overall, it’s a great bag and I think this bag should be in any photographer’s possession because of how well it’s made. I wouldn’t worry about my gear not being protected within this backpack. They have carefully thought out this bag to fit for many different occasions which makes this product so great.
