Meliá Conquers Milan’s Luxury Market With All Of Its Brands Now Present

A magnificent location for a boutique hotel that deserves no less. With this philosophy in mind, Meliá Hotels International continues to expand its renewed vision of luxury hotels in Milan, a city renowned for its art and design, and one of the must-visit destinations in Southern Europe. Following on from the success of the avant-garde ME by Meliá, and just before one of the most anticipated hotels of this season opens its doors, the extraordinary Palazzo Cordusio by Gran Meliá, the company has announced its recent project by its newer brand The Meliá Collection, which will open in 2024, becoming the group’s fifth hotel in this city.

Situated just 400 metres from the Piazza del Duomo, one of Milan’s emblematic symbols, on Via Cardinal Federico, and inspired by the style, elegance and unmistakable creativity of the city, this hotel will make the ideal base for discovering this vibrant and cosmopolitan metropolis.

The Meliá Collection is made up of an exclusive selection of hotels influenced and deeply rooted in the destination they are located, that defines the unique personality of each of them. To that end, the brand’s latest project will occupy an ancient building in Milan’s centre, which will be completely restored with the characteristic elegance and design of this major city.

Its 31 apartments will be anything but conventional. A contemporary style with high-end details and finishings, the apartments are divided into three different spaces: the bedroom, bathroom and living room with kitchen. With exquisite interiors of sober lines and superior materials, the project aims to elevate the guest experience to new heights. The hotel will also have a gym, bar, and à la carte restaurant, with a spectacular inner terrace to enjoy the outdoors.

The opening of this hotel reinforces the presence of Meliá Hotels International in one of the most important cities in Europe and shows its commitment to its growth in Italy. The group has three more hotels in Milan: the charismatic and recently renovated Meliá Milano, the laid-back and cosmopolitan INNSiDE Milano Torre Galfa, and the icon of luxury lifestyle ME Milano. This fall, the majestic Palazzo Cordusio, a member of the exclusive Gran Meliá family, will be added to the list, located in one of the most well-known Renaissance buildings in the city in Piazza Cordusio. The hotel aims to follow the path of success of the Gran Meliá Villa Agrippina in Rome, which marked the start of the company’s growth in the luxury segment in Italy ten years ago.

The Meliá Collection debuted just a year ago in Italy with the exceptional Tenuta di Artimino, part of the former Medici estate, offering a unique experience in the Tuscan countryside. Currently, the brand brings together some of the most special hotels in the company’s portfolio, such as the Meliá Serengeti Lodge (Tanzania), Hacienda del Conde (Tenerife), Hotel Villa Marquis (Paris, France) and Meliá Desert Palm (Dubai, UAE), among others.
