Avi Brosh’s Palisociety Introduces “Le Petit Pali” With Two Signature Carmel-by-the-sea Destinations

A bespoke new bed & breakfast concept brings forth Palisociety’s vision of a traditional small inn experience, layered with an upscale interpretation of the brand’s revered charm and personal approach to travel and hospitality

An homage to the carefully considered and the delightfully distinct.

Introducing Le Petit Pali. The newest addition to Avi Brosh’s Palisociety portfolio, this bespoke, unique, and thoughtfully curated collection reimagines small inns in exceptional neighborhoods for today’s well-traveled and discerning guest.

Set to debut in the summer of 2023 in the illustrious coastal community of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Le Petit Pali will open with two signature properties, Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave and Le Petit Pali at 8th Ave, in the ever-charming Central California town, with close proximity to the area’s pristine shoreline, quaint dining and shopping district, and one of the most recognized residential enclaves in the country, admired by design and architecture aficionados from around the world.

At Le Petit Pali, the guest experience is a carefully orchestrated one, with every detail and opportunity to delight considered. The hotels’ design, courtesy of Brosh and the Palisociety in-house design team, layers the brand’s signature look and feel with a refined and whimsical, yet inspired allure. A heavy adornment of personally chosen details, amenities and accoutrements lend each space a true air of comfortable, understated luxury that feels like a natural extension of Carmel’s inimitable sense of casual and storied style.

The 34 newly designed guest rooms at Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave, many with fireplaces, have a moody, seaside palette featuring sage green walls, natural jute rugs, rich wood furniture, vintage art and floral textiles mixed and matched throughout the space. A few blocks south, Le Petit Pali at 8th Ave is home to 24 guest rooms in a classic California craftsman-style property surrounding a central, al fresco courtyard perched on a quiet Carmel Street. Accommodations there feature in-room fireplaces, suite layouts with graciously appointed living spaces and the same design imprint found on Ocean Ave, customized to each unique space. Every Le Petit Pali guest room is lovingly equipped with Diptyque bath amenities, Bellino fine linens, plush robes and slippers, Marshall speakers, and a generously curated mini bar featuring locally sourced items, a brand signature. Antipodes bottled water and Baci chocolates are delivered daily, on the house.

Beyond the guest room, Le Petit Pali shines with a thoughtful, almost theatrical approach to independent inn-keeping intended to ignite a memorable feeling that lingers far beyond your stay. Spaces exude a casual elegance with thought given to everything from the Diptyque Baies scent wafting through the air to the all-day soundtrack carefully compiled with a meticulous ear. Guests are greeted with warm hospitality and a relaxed, yet attentive sense of service at every turn. Never mind a perfect beverage.

A champagne continental breakfast awakens guests daily with tableside Taittinger, mimosas, green juice, tea, and freshly brewed coffee, alongside an assortment of locally baked pastries and sourdough bread from Rise + Roam bakery, topped with bright marmalades from Marmalade Grove. Seasonal and local fruit pairs with granola and Greek yogurt, while perfectly cooked 8-minute eggs offer savory sustenance. Throughout the day, guests are encouraged to explore the ever-charming streets and shores of Carmel with a suite of Linus bicycles and a highly personal and selective neighborhood guide at the ready. Hop between Le Petit Pali at 8th Ave and Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave at your leisure. When ready to rest between afternoon and evening, a guest-exclusive social hour awaits at each hotel with house made cocktails, fine wines and beers, and a rotating assortment of small bites and snacks from the very best of Carmel’s dining visionaries, including The Stationaery, Chez Noir Carmel and Folktale Winery. Come evening, fresh house made cookies are delivered to each guest room and thoughtful touches like hot water bottle service are at the ready to usher you into an always restorative night’s rest.

“Long before we were hoteliers, we were passionate travelers, and the destinations we have been fortunate to experience around the globe have forever informed our vision of a great proprietor-driven inn,” said Avi Brosh, founder of Palisociety. “Le Petit Pali is a true iteration of everything we love about travel. It’s small, chic, carefully considered at every turn, and introduces the delight of the European-inspired bed & breakfast model that we have always admired with our own sense of charm and detail.”

Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave and Le Petit Pali at 8th Ave will open in Carmel in July. From there, the brand will expand with forthcoming hotels in Brentwood (Los Angeles) and Laguna Beach, joining 14 existing Palisociety hotels across its Palihouse, Palihotel, ARRIVE by Palisociety and independently branded portfolios.
