As winter turns to spring and the weather turns from a brisk chill to a pleasant, temperate climate, vacationing during the spring break is a great remedy to cure your wanderlust woes. Since warm temperatures tend to increase earlier in the season, this area in Tennessee and North Carolina are the perfect getaway for those seeking an early warm season. Enjoy the early spring flowers while hiking the numerous trails in the area or kayak the serene waterways at your leisure.

Camping within the park area is prohibited, however there are ample campgrounds surrounding the park.

Each spring on Chincoteague Island, the wild horses that reside in the surrounding areas swim across the channels on the island. Vacationers from all over the country gather in this quaint area on the Virginia Eastern Shore to marvel at this majestic occurrence. While you’re there, take time to enjoy the plentiful amenities. Summers in Arizona are often scorching and the winters can be cold, particularly near the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, where daytime temperatures average around 40ºF. The most ideal time to visit the Grand Canyon is during the spring, when crowds are fewer and the weather is warming up. By March, the surface temperature is about 51ºF, while in the canyon, it’s a balmy 71ºF.  You can explore this Natural Wonder while enjoying various activities, including kayaking and hiking. As many Americans flock to this famous landmark throughout the year, camping spaces are sometimes limited, so it is essential to reserve a spot at a campsite far in advance before spring break.

Though Orlando is typically associated with theme parks, the city and its neighboring areas possess fantastic spots for the vacationer desiring a warm, yet lively spring break. As Florida maintains warm weather year-round, Orlando is a hot spot for snowbirds during the wintertime. By spring break, its popularity declines, providing the perfect opportunity to explore the area in your Class A motorhome or other RV. Once you’ve finished exploring the metropolitan area, head over to Lake Apopka to tap into your nature side. Here, you can escape the liveliness while kayaking, boating, and fishing.
