You don’t have to be a kitesurfing expert to understand that this Italian teenager represents a peak moment in this growing sport.

With its beautiful beaches and looming mountains, Cape Town serves as an ideal location to highlight the visual appeal of kitesurfing.

But the sport’s acrobatic tricks reached new heights (literally) when 17-year-old Lorenzo Casati won Red Bull’s King of the Air event in South Africa this weekend.

With mind-boggling jumps and seemingly effortless grace, Casati garnered one of the highest scores the event has ever seen. Watch this headlight reel, and you’ll immediately understand why.
