Carnival Cruise Ship Passengers Informed of Terminal Change

Guests booked on the Carnival Magic departure out of Port Canaveral have been informed of a switch between terminals. Carnival Cruise Line informed guests the day before departure.

Carnival Magic Terminal Switch

Carnival Cruise Line has informed guests about a terminal change for the Carnival Magic sailing out of Port Canaveral on November 13. The cruise line sent a communication, letting them know that the Dream-class ship will use two different terminals for embarkation and disembarkation.

When Carnival Magic returns to port at the end of its November 5 eight-night southern Caribbean sailing, arrival will be at Terminal 3. Embarkation for the following November 13 sailing will be out of the same Terminal 3. However, when the ship returns to end the November 13 voyage, disembarkation will be through Terminal 6.

In a letter sent to guests the day before departure, Carnival says, “We will be docking at Terminal 3 for your embarkation tomorrow, but the ship will be positioned at Terminal 6 when we return.”

With different terminals for embarkation and disembarkation, guests will have to make some minor adjustments, especially for those who are using the port parking. Those using a vehicle are being asked to head to Terminal 3 to drop off their luggage for embarkation and then head to Terminal 6 to park their vehicle ready for when they return at the end of the cruise.

The extra procedures are due to Terminals 3 and 6 being on complete opposite ends of Port Canaveral. Terminal 6 is located at the West Turning basin, and terminal 6 is located near Jetty Park. After parking the vehicle at Terminal 6, there will be a free shuttle service to transport them back to Terminal 3 for embarkation.

The cruise line continues, “If you will be parking at the port, head to Terminal 3 to drop off your luggage then proceed to Terminal 6 to park your vehicle. The two terminal are not within walking distance of each other, so complimentary shuttle service will be available to transport you back to Terminal 3.”

Carnival is also warning guests to allow for extra time to make their designated check-in time for embarkation. All guests must be on board by 3:00 PM, with the Carnival Magic then departing by 4:00 PM. Guests will have to make travel arrangements to be dropped off at Terminal 3 and then picked up from Terminal 6 when the vessel returns.

Carnival Magic’s Six-Day Cruise

Even though guests will have to undertake some further travel arrangements at the port, Carnival Magic’s six-day itinerary will be as normal. The Carnival cruise ship will be sailing the Eastern Caribbean with a total of three ports of call.

The ship will make a visit to the cruise line’s private island of Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas on November 15, Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos on November 16, and the final ports of call at Amber Cover in the Dominican Public on November 17.

Carnival Magic will return home to Port Canaveral on November 18, at Terminal 6
