Oceania Launches Free Land Programs That Are Out Of This World – All Things Cruise

Oceania Cruises is renowned for its Culinary and Destination-focused cruises. Its luxury fleet will visit over 450 ports virtually everywhere in the world from Europe to the South Pacific, from Alaska to the Caribbean on cruises ranging from 7 days to a spectacular 180-day-long World Cruise.  From now until January 8, 2023, guests who book any one of 15 cruises departing from January until June, will be rewarded with pre-or post-cruise opportunities valued at up to $4600 a person.  And these offerings cover cruises on 6 continents. Extraordinary indeed!

Choose a destination and Oceania does the rest.

Included in these wonderful extensions to your cruise experience are some of the world’s greatest cities. Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong bring Asia into focus.  Or choose to explore Dubai or Sydney or Mumbai.  Bucket List UNESCO World Heritage sites are on the list: The Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat in Thailand, the Blue Mountains in Australia and the geoglyphs in the Nazca Desert of Peru. For Americans who want to stay closer to home, San Francisco and Sausalito made the cut.  And in keeping with Oceania’s well-deserved reputation for food and wine, two Land Excursions are wine-focused—one in Chile and one in South Africa. There is truly something for every travelers’ dreams.

Oceania’s Free Land Programs are as luxurious as Oceania’s ships
It will come as no surprise to Oceania loyalists, that the hotels selected for these programs are all top notch.  In Bangkok and Hong Kong, it’s the Shangri-La.  In Singapore, the Mandarin Oriental is your home base. While in Singapore you’ll be invited to quaff a Singapore Sling at the legendary Raffles Hotel. In Dubai, you’ll be hosted at Bedouin-style dinner set in sand dunes!

You’ll also have opportunities to scope out the local food scene in restaurants you choose on your own.

All About Oceania…

Oceania Cruises sails seven small luxury ships. The Oceania ships that offer the Free Land Programs are almost identical sisters: Nautica, Regatta, Insignia.  We say ‘almost’ because each one of them has undergone interior transformations in 2022, 2018 and 2019 respectively. Each one carries just 656 guests pampered by a crew of over 400. Regatta retains the title of Flagship of the Oceania fleet. But all three sisters feature four open-seating restaurants, eight lounges and bars, a casino and the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center.  Nearly 70 percent of their 333 suites and staterooms have private verandas. Their interiors are simply gorgeous. They have a residential feel to them that extends to the public spaces.  Meanwhile out on deck, there’s teak and stone and exquisite tile work.

Oceania Cruises are famous for “The Finest Cuisine At Sea”®.

To live up to that moniker, Oceania enlisted the extraordinary Jacques Pepin. Chef Pepin has been the Executive Culinary Director since 2003. The author of 30 cookbooks, and host of no less than 13 PBS television series, Chef Pepin’s deft hand in the kitchen is apparent in all Oceania’s restaurants. There’s even one named for the Chef—Jacques.  What distinguishes Oceania too is that there are no extra charges or fees at any restaurant aboard any of their ships. The line prides itself on culinary excellence whether it’s a burger served poolside or something called Humphry Slocombe’s bourbon-flavored cornflake-studded Secret Breakfast ice cream!  There’s a Grand Dining Room which more than lives up to its name. The Polo Grill is a classic steakhouse. Toscana is Oceania’s salute to refined Italian cuisine. The Terrace Café is an all-day dining experience and lives up to its name with a splendid outdoor dining terrace.

Waves Grill is right by the pool.  And there’s always Room Service at any time of the day—all 24 hours of them.
