Tourist Spots in Bohol
Tarsiers
Measuring in at only 9-16 cm, tarsiers are the smallest primates in the world. With eyes bigger than their brains, they’re certainly an interesting sight! They’re also fantastic jumpers and can leap 40 times their body length.
Although they may look cute and harmless, tarsiers are actually quite sensitive by nature and should be respected as such. If you’re lucky enough to see one up close, remember not to make any sudden movements or loud noises, and absolutely no flash photography!
Hinagdanan Cave
In Cebuano, the word hinagdanan means “laddered.” The cave was given this name after a farmer who stumbled upon it by chance. He constructed a ladder to get to it for the first time. Beautiful stalactites line the interior of this pristine subterranean lake, which is encircled by an elegant railing.
Bilar Man-made Forest
The Bilar Manmade Forest is a 2-kilometer road lined with towering mahogany trees. It began as a reforestation project to make up for the loss of trees caused by kaingin (slash-and-burn farming). Many tourists use it as a rest stop between the Chocolate Hills and other attractions. Blood Compact Shrine (Sandugo)
“Sandugo” is Visayan for “one blood,” according to the statue’s title. This famous sculpture depicts a blood compact between Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna (the chieftain of Bohol) in 1565, with several other witnesses. It is considered the first treaty of friendship between Spaniards and Filipinos.
Baclayon Church
The Baclayon Church, more formally known as the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, is one of oldest churches still standing in Philippines today. The original church building was constructed out of coral stones and held together with millions of egg whites way back in 1717. It’s been named a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and a National Historic Landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines – quite an impressive resume for such an oldie but goodie! In Danao, Bohol, a magnificent sea of white clouds will greet you as you approach Laguna Mountain. It will take you 20 minutes up to the top by foot from the bottom. The vista is going to be amazing! TIPS: Arrive early to witness the sea of clouds form in front of your eyes! Make sure to bring a coat since it could get chilly. If traveling by public transportation, catch a bus to Danao terminal the day before and stay overnight in town. Take a habal-habal to see the sun rise!.
Anda Beach
In Anda, one of the province’s fast developing hot spots, approximately 110 kilometers from Tagbilaran City, is an approximately three-hour drive. It has long stretches of lovely white-sand beaches and soothing seas without the tourists.

How to get there
Airplane
There are daily flights from Manila to Tagbilaran Airport offered by Air Asia, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines.The flight time is estimated to be 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Ferry
A fast ferry from Cebu Port Pier 1 or 4 to Tagbilaran City Pier takes around 1 and a half hours. The usual journey will take around four hours. A cheaper choice is to travel by boat to Tubigon and catch a bus or van from Tubigon to Tagbilaran.
