The Laughter Factory – 20 to 27 August

Join in on the Laughter Factory, which is Middle East’s most renowned comedy night. Showcasing A-list comedians such as Russell Peters, Michael McIntyre, Kevin Bridges, Dara O’Brien, Ross Noble, Jason Manford, Ed Byrne, Sean Hughes and Frankie Boyle you can expect professional comedians in Dubai almost every month, many of which have already performed on UK TV shows.

Alan Walker & KSHMR – 26 August

Sonu Nigam – 10 September

The highly acclaimed Indian playback singer Sonu Nigam will perform at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena this September. The King of Pop Tribute – 23 to 24 September

Get ready for the world’s greatest tribute to the King of Pop at Dubai Opera this September. Rodrigo Teaser will perform Michael Jackson’s top hits, including Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat it and several others. The dance performances will be directed by Michael Jackson’s former choreographer and dancer – Lavelle Smith. The concert will be held at Dubai Opera, Downtown, Dubai, on 23 and 24 September. 50 Cent (Green Light Gang World Tour) – 30 September

Catch the veteran hip-hop artist 50 Cent at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai this September. Known as the ‘Green Light Gang’ world tour, this one-of-a-kind music and rap performance will be anchored by a headline performance from 50 Cent. Tickets are starting from AED 225 and with gates opening from 20:00 onwards. 

Justin Bieber “Justice” World Tour – 8 to 9 October

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber will return to Dubai for his “Justice World Tour” at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 8 and 9 October 2022. The superstar was last year nominated for 13 Billboards awards and has recently been named the Artist of The Year at the MTV VMA’s. Get your tickets at the Coca-Cola Arena, City Walk, Dubai. 

Coke Studio Live – 14 October

Coke Studio Live will make its debut in Dubai at the City Walk venue and will feature both up-and-coming singers and established artists. You can also expect performances from many famous artists from Pakistan’s Coke Studio Season 14 at the concert in Dubai. But first, you will need to register for the Coke Studio pre-sale at the Coca-Cola Arena.

George Ezra – 21 October

George Ezra will be back in Dubai this October, performing his hit singles like Shotgun, Green Green Grass, Budapest, Blame It on Me, and others. The Brit pop star will perform at the Coca-Cola Arena with his deep and soulful voice, with Doors opening at 19:00 on 21 October 2022.

Hardwell ‘Rebels Never Die’ – 4 November

Full Circle, in partnership with Dubai Calendar, will be hosting the ‘Rebels Never Die’ show by Hardwell, who will be returning to Dubai this November for his performance at the Coca-Cola Arena. He has been previously awarded the World’s Number 1 Disk Jockey by DJ Mag in 2013 and 2014. Fans can expect several of his hit tracks like No Holding Back, Thinking About You, Follow Me and Broken Mirror at his performance in Dubai. Do not miss out on Hardwell performing live on 4 November.

2Cellos – 19 November 

2Cellos, characterized by the well-known classically trained cellists Luka Šulić and Hauser, are having their final farewell music tour in Dubai. The event will be held at CityWalk mega venue, the Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai, on 19 November 2022. Tickets are now on sale and are priced at AED 250 onwards.

Calum Scott ‘Bridges’ World Tour – 19 November

With his performance on 19 November at the Hard Rock Cafe Dubai in Dubai Festival City Mall, the UK artist Calum Scott will return to Dubai with his new album Bridges. The event will open at 19:00 and is only open to fans who are 21 years and above.

Lewis Capaldi – 24 November

After performing in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, Lewis Capaldi will have his first show in Dubai this November. The Scottish artist is famous for his debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’ that made it to the number one spot on the UK charts for several weeks in a row. Tickets for the music concert are on sale with prices starting from AED 199 for bronze seating.

Dubai Summer Surprises – 1 July to 4 September 

Dubai Summer Surprises is an annual summer festival organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), bringing residents and tourists a ten-week line-up of sales, promotions, and noteworthy events. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the DSS will offer its patrons exciting summer deals across the city’s shopping outlets, attractions, and entertainment hubs.

Dubai Home Festival – 30 September to 13 October

Held on 23 September at the Coca-Cola Arena, Crusty Demon’s brand-new show will provide attendees with extreme sport and motocross stunts for the adrenaline junkies. Dubai Muscle Show – 28 to 30 October

In collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, the Dubai Muscle Show will showcase exhibitors of world-renowned sports nutrition, fitness, and bodybuilding brands, inspirational athletes, and fitness influencers from around the globe at Dubai World Trade Centre. 

Dubai Fitness Challenge – 29 October to 27 November

The Dubai Fitness Challenge is a month-long festival dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, exercise, and wellbeing. The fitness festival was established with a vision to make Dubai one of the most dynamic cities in the world.

Exciting fitness activities and entertainment will inspire Dubai residents to find the exercise of their choice. Participants of all ages and abilities will be able to do nearly 30 minutes of heart-pumping activity every day for 30 days.

Dubai Run: One of the highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge is the Dubai Run which is all set to be held in November 2022. Get a chance to run past some of Dubai’s instantly identifiable landmarks, including Emirates Towers and Downtown Dubai. Every year the runners can choose from two tracks. The first track, which is 5 kilometres long, is designed for families, while the second, 10 kilometres long, is intended for professional and leisure runners.

Sunshine month! Best of Dubai in April

Dubai Ride: Experience the massive cycling track in Dubai and get a chance to pedal past some of the world’s most prominent landmarks, such as the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal, and Burj Khalifa in the third edition of Dubai Ride on 6 November 2022. You can choose between the 4km family ride around Downtown Dubai and the 14km loop on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Dubai Sail GP – 12 to 13 November 

Watch the 8 national teams battle it for the win at the exciting water sports event – Dubai Sail Grand Prix. Sailing enthusiasts can attend this season’s championship that will take place in cities around the world with six races for each Sail Grand Prix, 5 fleet races, and the final round.

DP World Tour Championship – 17 to 20 November

The DP World Tour is a professional golf tour of the European Tour group, featuring a minimum of 44 tournaments across 25 different countries for the 2022 season. DP World Tour Championship will be held on Earth course, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai, this November. The championship will welcome former major winners Matthew Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm. 

Emirates Airline Dubai 7’s – 1 to 3 December

Sports enthusiasts can head to the Emirates Airline Dubai 7’s at the Dubai Sevens Stadium to watch the largest sports and entertainment festivals in the Middle East. The three-day sporting festival will see the best rugby teams in the world battle it out for the coveted trophies. Attendees can also enjoy delicious cuisines, meals, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. 

Dubai Marathon 2022 – 10 December

The mass participation event is back for its 22nd edition this year. It will also bring in international athletes as well as anyone else who is willing to participate in the marathon. Participants can choose between the full marathon, the 10km run and the 4km Fun Run. 

OPERAS & THEATERS

Romeo & Juliet – 9 to 11 September

Experience the enthralling masterpiece by Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet, with mesmerizing music and a powerful story that will be brought to life. The Romeo & Juliet performance will take place at Dubai Opera from 9 – 11 September; tickets start from AED 325 and can be purchased online.

La Traviata – 13 September

The Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi will bring to Dubai a 4-act opera based on La dame aux Camélias (novel by Alexandre Dumas, fils). Witness the tragic love story depicted in a beautiful storyline on 13 September at Dubai Opera from 20:00 onwards.

Jazz Classics – 1 October

Dubai Opera Big Band will be paying homage to the compositions by well-known jazz artists such as Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat King Cole, Jazz Classics. Twenty renowned musicians from the UAE and GCC will ensure an unforgettable evening of jazz on 1 October from 20:00 onwards at the Dubai Opera.

Footloose: The Musical – 5 to 8 October

Based on the 1980s screen sensation, Footloose: The Musical is a toe-tapping four-day running show bringing forth the fun spirit of the 80s with modern choreography. The popular dance moves and nostalgic soundtracks presented by the DPA Youth Theatre Company will be held at Dubai Opera, with tickets starting at AED 275. 

Riverdance 25th Anniversary – 27 October 

The Irish dance phenomenon will arrive at the Dubai Opera this October and will feature conventional Irish dance moves and power-packed performances with music by composer Bill Whelan.

Dresden Opera Ball – 15 November

The first Dresden Opera Ball premiere will be held in Dubai on 15 November 2022. Participate in the grand opening gala and ball, highlighting a red-carpet ceremony, stunning performances of classical music, and a grand finale with Dresden Opera Ball debutants at Dubai Opera theatre in Downtown Dubai.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Saudi National Day – 23 September

The UAE annually joins Saudi Arabia in celebrating the Kingdom’s National Day, which falls on 23 September. The solid historical kinship between the two countries has guaranteed this region’s security to maintain both nations’ security and well-being. Several Emirati landmarks in Dubai are lit up in green with the Saudi flag as part of the country’s participation in celebrating the Kingdom’s National Day. 

Prophets Birthday – 7 October

This year, the Prophet’s Birthday, also known as Milad-un-Nabi or Eid Milad, is set to be commemorated on Friday, 7 October 2022. The Prophet’s Birthday is an official holiday observed in the UAE, although it is considered to be less of a celebration and more of an observance. It is customary for Muslims to offer prayers and gratitude to Allah by way of fasting and reciting the Qur’an. 

Diwali Celebrations – 13 October to 27 October

Living in a multicultural city like Dubai has a lot of perks. You can expect to be part of various cultural and religious events like Diwali. Dubai hosts a ton of bazaars and consumer sales throughout the celebratory season of Diwali.

UAE Commemoration Day & National day – 1 December to 2 December

UAE National Day is a public holiday and marks the original date when the United Arab Emirates was founded. The long holiday will commence on Commemoration Day, which falls on Thursday, December 1st. The UAE National Day follows suit with a three-day holiday from December 2nd to 4th, including the new UAE weekend. This also marks the final public holiday for the year 2022.  

New Year’s Eve – 31 December 2022 to 1 January 2023

Watch the city come to life on New Year’s Eve with plenty of celebrations to ring in the New Year in style. Choose from firework shows, night safaris, dazzling parties, cruises, and lots more to have a memorable New Year’s Eve Day. Top attractions include Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari, Dubai Frame, Dubai Safari Park, and Dhow Cruises. 

Celebration of NYE at Burj Khalifa: Typically, on New Year’s Eve, downtown Dubai will be adorned with spectacular decorations to capture the festive spirit of the occasion. Just like every year, the Burj Khalifa will host the fireworks, light, and laser show this year-end too. The countdown to 2023 splayed on the Burj Khalifa will most likely be the star of the show, while the dancing lights and fireworks display are gloriously synchronized with the Dubai Fountain Show.

Global Village – 25 October to April 2023 

Global Village is essentially a one-stop shop for the best entertainment, shopping, dining, and attractions in Dubai. Visiting the event means discovering new wonders with every visit as you experience cuisine and cultures worldwide.

For its 27th edition, Global Village will be offering a lot to look forward to. This year Global village has announced the launch of ‘Road of Asia’ – a new street that will feature over 43 kiosks from 13 Asian countries. Guests can expect authentic products from countries like Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, among others.

BUSINESS EVENTS 

Downtown Design – 9 to 12 November

The Middle East’s industrial design trade fair, Downtown Design, emphasizes quality, transformation, and originality. The trade fair will have an extensive program of B2B meetings and conferences and will act as an excellent platform for businesses.

Sole DXB – 9 to 11 December

Sole DXB is a Dubai-based festival developed by Sole consisting of live performances, DJ sets, film screenings, workshops, and lots more. It is also an experiential platform for the world’s top brands. The three-night and two-day event will be held at Dubai Design District from 9 to 11 December 2022.
