Taking your RV to Lollapalooza

RVing to destinations all throughout the United States is such a fun and unique experience. Not only is it more comfortable being in your own space, but it’s usually more cost-effective as well. Depending on the size and type of your RV, it could be a spacious experience, or the perfect size for driving around to skip bringing a separate vehicle. Between national parks, theme parks, and events, RVing is definitely a top choice of accommodations. Have you ever thought about bringing your RV to a concert or festival? Lollapalooza would be an incredible event to stay in an RV.

Lollapalooza is a four day annual music festival featuring different artists every year located in Chicago. For 2022, some of the big-name artists include Metallica, Big Sean, Green Day, Charli XCX, Machine Gun Kelly, King Princess, J. Cole, and more. Concert-goers can choose from a one day, two day, or four day pass. The event features over one hundred performances running all day and into the night, food vendors, band merch, and even a Kidzapalooza area for children. The only lodging options are typically nearby hotels and Airbnbs. But what if you brought your RV? This could definitely be a fun and convenient way to travel to the festival and have a comfortable place to crash afterwards. Get ready as Harvest Hosts discusses all the details of taking your RV to Lollapalooza.

Dry Camping near Lollapalooza

Since the event is held in the city, there aren’t any nearby campgrounds or RV parks. However, there’s a hidden gem for RV parking that’s less than two miles from Grant Park. It would be just a few minutes for a taxi or Uber/Lyft or bus ride. The parking location is at McCormick Place and is just under $30 per day for parking. The lot has security, so don’t worry about leaving your RV there during the day. Please note that this is dry camping only, meaning that there aren’t any hookups available.
