Lure maker helps food banks

Len Thompson Lures, an Alberta-based fourth-generation family-owned-and-operated manufacturer, is again raising funds for Canadian food banks.

Their Fishing for Food Banks campaign runs from May 9 to September 30 with 50% from the sale of six limited-edition spoons going to community food banks.

“We’re continuing the program for another year. It’s one of those universal causes that affects every community,” VP of People and Marketing Jessica Pallister-Dew said. “We try to focus our donations on smaller community food programs as these often don’t get the funding or support that larger city centres do.”

The spoons go for $8 each. For info, including retail partners and online ordering, visit: www.fishingforfoodbanks.com

Limited-edition spoons come in six colour patterns (including three glow).
