Paul Gauguin Cruises Announces 21 Cruises for the Moana Explorer Program – Cruise Industry News

Paul Gauguin Cruises announced 21 dedicated voyages in 2023 and 2024 for its Moana Explorer Program aimed at children in collaboration with Te mana o te moana, a marine education and conservation foundation.

“2023 marks our third year of our exclusive partnership with Te mana o te moana, which has proven to be very popular with our guests, and we are thrilled to offer this immersive program again in 2023 and 2024,” said Susan Robison, general manager of sales and marketing for Paul Gauguin Cruises.

“The enriching naturalist-led activities are educational, exciting, and above all fun. Geared toward children and teens, the program welcomes participation from the whole family to create bonding moments that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.”

The program is designed to engage children with hands-on activities both onboard and ashore showcasing the natural wonders and unique cultures of the South Pacific. It includes activities such as visiting a sea turtle care center, playing real-life “Survivor” games, hiking, snorkeling and more.

“It is a special delight to foster an appreciation of Tahitian culture, wildlife, and wilderness among the guests of Paul Gauguin Cruises,” added Hélène Duran, general manager at Te mana o te moana.

“Through travel comes knowledge and we hope the experiences in French Polynesia will leave a long-lasting impression on these younger adventurers as we know they are the future custodians of our planet.”

The Moana Explorer Program is available on the following summer and holiday voyages in 2023 and 2024:

  • Seven-night Tahiti and the Society Islands
  • Seven-night More Society Islands and Tahiti
  • 10-night Society Islands and Tuamotus
  • 11-night Cook Islands and Society Islands
  • 14-night Marquesas, Tuamotus and Society Islands
  • 14-night Islands of the Marquesas and Tuamotus

There is no fee for the program, as it is included as part of Paul Gauguin Cruises’ all-inclusive cruise fares.
