American Queen Voyages Expands Leadership Team – Cruise Industry News


American Queen Voyages announced new leadership additions as President Cindy D’Aoust builds her team to further advance the North American cruise line.

“We are building a leadership team of the most talented industry experts with the distinct skills and experience to lead and advance American Queen Voyages’ success in 2023 and onwards,” said Cindy D’Aoust, president of American Queen Voyages.

John Kingston, appointed vice president of human resources in November, will now be joined by Angela Composto, vice president of marketing, and Alex Dormoi, project management officer, according to a company statement. These positions will all report directly to D’Aoust. 

Kingston will be responsible for all aspects concerning the human resources of American Queen Voyages, including shoreside and shipboard efforts. Kingston brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources to American Queen Voyages and has worked with multiple hospitality companies across the United States. 

Before joining American Queen Voyages, Kingston served as the regional director of human resources for dimension hospitality and held regional HR leadership positions with many companies including Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Benchmark Hospitality Company: The Villas at Grand Cypress,  JW Marriott & Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Grande Lakes Orlando and the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville.    

Angela Composto, who has over 20 years of experience in the cruise industry, will lead the marketing team as vice president. She has previously held positions at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Crystal Cruises and Silversea Cruises. 

Alex Dormoi will assume the role of project management officer. Dormoi previously worked as a senior consultant, business strategy and planning for Anew Recruit. Dormoi also served as vice president of strategy and business operations for Alpha Plus Transportation.
