Best Vegas Hotels For Every Vibe

Between Adele’s residency at The Colosseum kicking off this month to the Formula 1 Grand Prix scheduled for next November, Las Vegas knows how to draw all kinds of crowds and serves up something for everyone, despite the scandalous Sin City nickname. From casino-free to family friendly, here’s our list of the best Vegas hotels for different vibes.

All Wins, No Losses

Vegas and gambling go together like Sandy and Danny, but if you’d rather not have the sound of slots ringing in your ears or walk through clouds of cigarette smoke, there are casino-free, smoke-free hotels in Sin City. Lauded for its highly personalized service, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas (pictured left) serves up serenity from the calming neutrals in-room to the chill pool deck where you can also take a yoga or Pilates class. For ultimate relaxation, book an afternoon at the incredible spa which includes a hammam.

All-suite Vdara Hotel and Spa (pictured right) is another zero stakes option–the lofts and penthouses with space to spare and panoramic views are the perfect place to host a chic private party. They also cater to dogs, with special pet friendly suites too. Similar to the Waldorf Astoria, the pool vibe is decidedly grown-up. Should you change your mind about the casino bit, you can always walk over to sister property Aria.

Proper Partying

Vegas is also synonymous with non-stop partying. If that’s what you’re after, it’s Encore at Wynn Las Vegas for the win. Along with sister property Wynn, it’s consistently the top-rated luxury hotel on The Strip. By day, party at the Encore Beach Club, with its tiered pools and incredible line-up of DJs in the summer. After dark, hit up XS, an upscale indoor-outdoor nightclub which brings in big names on the regular, including Diplo and The Chainsmokers. Back in 2019, Drake did a residency there.

Italian-Inspired Opulence

La dolce Vegas. The Strip serves up a slice of Bel Paese at The Palazzo. A part of The Venetian, with its Venice Grand Canal replica and gondola rides, the tower is styled in classic Italian luxury with a modern twist. It’s quieter than its parent resort and the suites are that much more sumptuous. Counting all of what’s on offer at the Grand Canal Shoppes, there are more than 40 restaurants to dine at, including ones helmed by Michelin-starred chefs Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller and Tetsuya Wakuda. Of course, lots of Italian options too.

Channel George Clooney on holiday without the transatlantic flight at the Lake Como-inspired Bellagio (pictured). Speaking of George, his Ocean’s 11 crew gather at the Bellagio fountain post-heist to the tune of “Clair de Lune” in one of cinema’s most iconic final scenes. Its poker room is also iconic, as is its onsite Cirque du Soleil “O” water show.

Fam Jam

Mandalay Bay pool

If you’re bringing the whole family, go big with a Mandalay Bay stay. The kid-friendly resort has arguably the best aquatic playground, with an 11-acre pool deck, including a big wave pool, lazy river and sandy beach. There’s also the Shark Reef Aquarium with more than 2,000 sea animals to see. To feed your hungry brood, there are 28 dining destinations, including 13 by celebrity chefs. In other words, it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever hear I’m bored or there’s nothing to eat here which is also winning.

Off-Off-Strip

If you’ve been there, done that with weaving through crowds along Las Vegas Boulevard but still want all the best of Sin City, stay off-off-Strip. In Henderson, Green Valley Ranch (pictured left) feels like a lower key Palm Springs getaway. You’re a 20-minute drive from Vegas proper should you want to see a big-name act, but all other resort experiences are right here—pool, spa, casino and award-winning restaurants.

Nestled next to Red Rock Canyon, Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa (pictured right) gives you the Vegas glitz with a side of breathtaking natural beauty. You can still choose a sparkling city view, but waking up to see the sun illuminating vermilion sandstone cliffs is the obvious choice. All the must-have amenities are here—casino, pool, spa, scores of dining options—plus they have their own 72-lane bowling alley, for those who prefer strikes to high stakes, and a cinema.
