So whether you’re looking for an easy place to relax while you soak up some sun or a more adventurous spot where tourists can go snorkeling or diving, Cyprus has got something for everyone.
Here are six of our favorite beaches in Cyprus:
1. Konnos Beach
Konnos Beach is a sandy beach on the northern seaside of Cyprus. It lies next to the village of Konia, and it is easy to reach by car or bus. The shore is popular with locals and tourists because of its golden sand, clear waters, and lush vegetation.
Konnos Bay has a beautiful landscape, which makes it one of the most attractive coastlines in Cyprus. This beach is surrounded by rocks, trees, and bushes, which give visitors a feeling of privacy. The water is very clear and shallow enough for children to have fun in it. The shore has many facilities, such as sunbeds and umbrellas, among others, that are available for use free of charge during the summer season.
Active tourists can enjoy swimming at Konnos Beach because it is 100% safe, as long as you stay close to shore. There are no strong currents there, but it’s still advisable to swim between the flags which are placed along the shoreline.
Secondly, take Sunbathing. Tourists can take sunbathe all day long at Konno’s shoreline because there are plenty of sunbeds available for rent and shade umbrellas for those who want some protection from the harsh rays of the sun during midday hours.
2. Lady’s Mile Beach
Lady’s Mile beach is a long sandy shore located at the Northern end of Cyprus. The beach is popular among locals and tourists alike. This beach is suitable for families with children as it has shallow water and lots of facilities, including changing rooms, showers, sun loungers, umbrellas, supervised kiddies’ play areas, and lifeguards on duty during the summer months.
The shoreline is easily accessible via public transport or by car (the nearest parking spaces are free). The best way to get there by public transport is by bus route. So, why visit this excellent beach?
Windsurfing – is one of the best activities to do at Lady’s Mile sand. The windsurfing equipment can be rented from various sellers around the beach. It is an action sport that involves sailing on a board supported by a wind surfer’s feet (known as a board) with a sail attached to a mast, which is, in turn, attached to a harness or vest worn by the sailor. It allows them to experience power and freedom while enjoying the beautiful landscape.
Another thing is kitesurfing. This popular water sport can be enjoyed at any time on this seashore. It involves using kite sails attached to a harness or vest worn by the sailor, who then moves over water using their feet and body weight without the help of any mechanical propulsion system.
3. Nissi Beach
Nissi beach is a small seashore situated West of Ayia Napa. It is one of the most popular spots in Cyprus and is well-known for its crystal waters. Nissi coast is surrounded by numerous facilities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, and other services that can be found on most beaches in Cyprus.
The shoreline has a white sand surface and crystal clear waters that are ideal for swimming. The water temperature ranges between 26°C to 30°C during summer months and 20°C to 24°C during winter months.
There are many restaurants at Nissi Beach where you can enjoy delicious food with a variety of drinks. Still, if you prefer to eat at home or want to stay away from crowds, there are also many supermarkets nearby where you can buy everything you need for your stay at the shoreline.
Nissi beach is well known for its live music during peak season (July to September) when local bands play their music in the evenings by the seafront. The best time to visit the Nissi seashore is during sunset or sunrise, as this is when you can enjoy both the sunset and sunrise from your hotel room or balcony. You can also stay at an apartment close by in the Ayia Napa area to see sunsets and sunrises from your private balcony or terrace at an affordable price.
4. Fig Tree Bay
Fig Tree Bay is among the most popular beach destinations in Cyprus. It is also one of the most photographed places on the island, with its white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, and unique rock formations.
This beautiful shoreline is nestled between two small bays at the foot of the Akamas peninsula. The bay has a long sandy oceanfront with shallow waters and clear turquoise waters. There are also plenty of rocks to explore along the coastline, where many sea turtles can be found basking on them.
This picturesque beach is located on the southwestern coast of Cyprus, close to Paphos. It is a great place to relax as well as swim in warm turquoise waters with soft white sand underfoot. The shore offers plenty of amenities such as cafes, restaurants, shops, etc., so you can spend more time relaxing rather than worrying about packing up all your belongings when it’s time to leave.
Fig Tree Bay is a great place for surfing. There are waves that are good for surfing all year round, but there are times when it is better to surf than others. If you want to surf during low tide, then you should go during the winter months from November through February. During high tide, it’s better to go during the summer months from June through August.

5. Lara Beach
Lara coastline is one of the most famous beaches in Cyprus, and it is located in the north of Paphos. The shore is named after the Lara River, which flows into the sea at this point. The coast has fine sand, a shallow sea, and crystal clear waters. It is a very popular destination among tourists and locals alike as it offers a variety of activities such as water sports, snorkeling, and diving.
If you want to hike or bike at this shoreline, there are plenty of trails that lead up into nearby hills, where you can enjoy an amazing view over Paphos city while hiking through pine forests. If biking is more your speed, then head over to Lara seashore during the day when there aren’t many people around so that you won’t have to worry about sharing the trail with anyone else on their way back down from their hike up into the hills.
6. Pissouri Bay
Pissouri Bay is a beautiful coastline in Cyprus located in the village of Pissouri. It is one of the most popular shorelines in Cyprus, known for its crystal clear waters and sandy shores. Pine trees surround the beach, and there are many small restaurants along the beachfront. There are also many water sports available such as banana boat rides, jet skiing, and parasailing. The seaside has an excellent infrastructure with sunbeds, umbrellas, changing rooms, and toilets.
The best time to go swimming at Pissouri Bay is during the summer months because this will allow you to enjoy the hot weather without getting too cold from swimming in cold water. Swimming here during any other season may be too cold for some people because the temperature can drop down into 40°F (4°C) range during winter months, when temperatures are usually colder than in other parts of Cyprus due to wind chill factors or air pollution from nearby cities such as Nicosia or Limassol (depending on which direction wind blows).
You can also keep an eye out for dolphins. They’re often spotted playing in the waves near Pissouri Bay, and they’re always fun to watch. It’s also fun when they get close enough that you can hear them squeak at each other—it sounds like they’re talking. When that happens, it’s important not to get too close or try to feed them because dolphins can be dangerous if they feel threatened.
