The most beautiful and quietest rally in the world finished on Saturday, June 11th 2022 in Zadar on the location of “the most beautiful sunset in the world” as Alfred Hitchcock once so eloquently put it. After 7 days of driving through the sun-kissed landscape of Croatia in silent, electric vehicles, while demonstrating their driving skills on different occasions, the winner was pronounced.
The 9th edition of the international “Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2022” started per tradition in Istria, this year in city of Rovinj, where the official accreditation ceremony hosted by Mayor of Rovinj, Mr. Marko Paliaga, took place. Over the next 7 days, international participants from Europe and all over the world spent their time driving on panoramic roads on the 850 km long route through amazing landscapes and 4 national parks, visiting 15 cities along the way and experiencing the best that Croatia as a tourist destination has to offer.
Combining E-Mobility, Ecology & Green Tech
The Nikola Tesla EV Rally is a luxury e-tour with a unique and innovative concept, combining e-mobility, ecology and green tech, offering its participants the best of Croatia’s cultural heritage, natural beauty and wine/gastro experience with plenty of attractions. It follows the route that’s officially called “The Green Electric Highway” and which provides charging stations that are, in cooperation with partners, placed on the most important locations.
Fun and adrenaline was guaranteed with a sportive program. From Rovinj, the participants went on a tour of central Istria all the way to Grožnjan , while the third day of the rally was reserved for sports activities at the Vrsar airport track “Aeroclub Vrsar”. In the second part of the rally, the participants visited Šibenik, and the last stage was reserved for the second part of the sports program at Višnjik Sports Center in Zadar.
The award ceremony was hosted by the Mayor of Zadar, Dr. Branko Dukić, and took place by the sea on the one of a kind solar panel art installation “Greeting to the Sun”. Winners were awarded trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as local products from Croatia.

The Nikola Tesla EV Rally is supported by HTZ (The Croatian Tourist Board) and other government institutions and local municipalities, who all appreciate the great opportunity to brand Croatia as an “e-mobility friendly” destination through this unique e-mobility tour.
